If you are looking for a more relaxed, youthful night out, the Java nightclub in Geneva might be the spot for you. It boasts a much younger clientele than most clubs in Geneva, without sacrificing a single bit of its luxury or fun.
The interior decor is almost like it was taken straight from a runway. Bright spotlights down the middle, lower lighting in the booths. It makes you feel like a star, the centre of attention, and you will love it.
There is a bit of a minimalist theme in this Geneva nightclub, but it sort of works. The bareness of the rooms accentuates the people, and the sleekness of the furniture makes it comfortable and easy to move around and use. The clean-cut lines enhance the runway look, and make it somewhat futuristic and trendy.
There is also an air of extravagance and irreverence, such as the giant skull crystal balls, or the glowing orange lighting at the sides of the room contrasted with the soft purple and the catwalk lights elsewhere. Where it is not minimalist, it is bling, bling, bling.
The well-stocked bar has a wide selection of bottles on display, so you can pick what you want easily. You might notice that the bottles are pretty high end, but even the more typical drinks cost quite a bit at this popular Geneva nightclub. You might be tempted to buy some of the cheaper drinks, but really it makes more sense to just get the expensive ones and enjoy. Expect to spend quite a bit here if you want to have much fun at all.
The DJ booth at this Geneva club is actually set back a bit, and not very visible to the guests. But the music is pretty amazing. The in house DJ takes the top 40 and remixes them incredibly well, giving us a good, solid night of danceable beats that are fresh and fun. The bass is not too intense, though, which might disappoint some.
The clientele at Java nightclub is young, but also sexy, wealthy, and bold. The club attracts people as edgy, trendy, and irreverent as its decoration, and you will feel the buzz when you are in there. If you belong you will no doubt fit in perfectly and have a great time. But if you feel you are not on a level with the other guests, they will be able to tell and you will not have such a good time. You have to feel five star to get along with five star people.
Once again, this is a venue where you need to be dressed incredibly well to get in. Top end brands, well polished looks, proper jewellery, the works. Men need to wear button down shirts and polished shoes. No sportswear or torn clothes. I would even discourage anything denim. Women need to be wearing cocktail, party, or evening dresses, high heels, full make up and jewellery. Coat check is basically mandatory and is reasonably priced.
