If you want to see a stunning transformative venue with a great split themed atmosphere, the Oblaka nightclub in Moscow is a great choice. This venue hosts a restaurant most of the week, but transforms into a modern nightclub a few nights a week, allowing local DJs to show off their talent.
By day, Oblaka is actually a pretty neat restaurant. The cream and white decor is bright, open, and inviting, and the comfortable chairs and tables make for a pleasant dining experience. There are elaborately maintained plants indoors, adding an air of sophistication to the venue. With its huge windows Oblaka lets in plenty of natural light, making it a great place to visit in Moscow if you want a nice meal out. What is more, you will have a pretty good view of Moscow out the window, which is a wonderful backdrop to any meal.
Outdoors there is seating on the terrace as well, with canopied tables overlooking a wonderful view of the city, and again plenty of green plants to add some freshness and class to your surroundings. It is a really wonderful place to be on a pleasant day, and you can see for miles around.
By night, Oblaka transforms into a club and disco. The same subtle decor really picks up on the bright and colourful lighting incredibly well, making the room come to life in wave after wave of neon and strobe lights. The tables and chairs are drawn back, opening the dance floor up so that everyone can have a wonderful time. They continue to serve their excellent dishes into the night, and the price for the food remains reasonable throughout, which is always good to know if you are planning on partying all night long. Like most Moscow nightclubs, this venue opens late and stays open until the morning. It is not the most lively in the early hours of the morning, but as it empties it becomes a very pleasant place to just sit and relax.
The drinks are not too expensive for a nightclub in a major city, and the service is prompt, and the staff are always eager to please. Bottle service is highly recommended, especially as the venue gets busier and busier throughout the night. It just makes more sense to be able to take it easy and just have fun.
The venue attracts a lot of very wealthy locals and tourists, and for this reason it can be pretty busy and exclusive. Sometimes you can get in at the door with or without a cover charge if you are a beautiful and well dressed woman, but you cannot count on it. It is far better to get on the guest list, reserve a table, and make sure to arrive dressed as a true VIP, to ensure you get in and are able to party the night away in true style. Men are advised to wear suits, no sportswear, and women to wear dresses and heels.
