If you want a more traditional, late-90s or early-2000s nightclub experience in the middle of Oslo, then this is a great spot.

Set up like an old-fashioned warehouse club, the focus is on providing plenty of dance floor to let people enjoy the music and each other's company freely. Unlike those older clubs, however, the Lawo nightclub in Oslo is completely modern beneath the service: current top 40 tracks playing, high-quality sound and light systems and, most importantly, the VIP bottle service packages.

If you are a fan of flashy bottle service, then this fun Oslo club is a great place to be. The lounge seats, and the sparkler-loaded buckets in the low lights are bound to draw all eyes onto you. The staff will not let you feel like anything less than a celebrity.

The Lawo is definitely more a spot for locals than for tourists. Naturally the staff and many of the regulars will speak English, but just bear in mind that many of the people there will not speak much English and that the DJ might speak Norwegian or even Swedish rather than English. Not that this is a problem if you have a reservation and are there for fun, but if you plan on interacting a lot, you might find it better to go with a Norwegian.

The dress code here is not too strict. So long as you avoid sportswear and distressed look clothing, you should be fine. T-shirts, long sleeve tops, clean blue jeans, etc, are not a problem. Sometimes you might even get away with a sports style jacket, although this is probably because in Norway these are considered fashion statements instead of athleticwear. Just make sure to err on the side of caution, because the last thing you want is to be turned away for wearing something too sporty. Business casual should get you in.

Please bear in mind that even though it advertises itself as part of the International Student Club Festival, like most venues in Oslo it is only open to people aged 21 and above for now. If you are younger and enjoy a relaxed lounge club experience, then the LingLing caters to people from the age of eighteen up.

The Lawo club in Oslo opens longer than most Norwegian clubs, usually starting as early as ten and not closing until half an hour after the other clubs are shut. If you like to start your night early and party as long as possible, this might be your best bet for all night fun in Oslo. Earlier in the night and later on you can enjoy a truly relaxed lounge experience, with the hours in between being dedicated to high-energy partying.

A club like this one can be hard to get into on the night, especially as it is one of the few which stay open a bit later. Unless you are on the guest list and/or have a table, you might struggle to get in. Our advice is to reserve early rather than miss out.
