The Nox and Sollihagen nightclub in Oslo is a unique, high energy experience. The name refers to the nightclub itself in the downstairs area, which is the Nox, and the upstairs outdoor dance area, the Sollihagen. You have a choice between the two atmospheres all night long, and both can be great fun.
Inside the Nox you can enjoy plush booth style seating and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complete with a dance floor and a traditional bar. The Nox tends to be louder and higher energy, and the Sollihagen area is a lot more chill - but not literally. Because the weather can be quite cold the Sollihagen comes equipped with heat lamps to ensure that even if you are out in the middle of the Oslo winter you should be able to party in comfort.
Bottle service and VIP tables are well worth booking. Seating is in short supply, so unless you reserve a table you will probably not get one all night long. Staff are incredibly kind and helpful to their VIP clients, and will make sure your cloak check is sorted for you, that your drinks are always full, that you have transport home and that you are happy when you leave. If you want to feel pampered, then booking a VIP table is the only way to go.
Pricing at this trendy Oslo club can be a bit high, but nothing out of the ordinary for a nightclub of its calibre. Bottle service is reasonable, and the cocktails mixed at the bar are absolutely perfect and pretty strong, so you will feel like your money is being well spent.
The dress code at this popular Oslo club is not very strict, but they do ban all sportswear and distressed look streetwear. That said, although there is no strict dress code, most visitors will be dressed in business casual or cocktail clothing, so if you don't want to stick out like a sore thumb, you will need to dress up at least a little. Aim for a buttoned shirt for gentlemen and a cocktail dress for ladies. Male jewellery and jeans are allowed.
If you are looking for a place with great music and shows, Oslo's Nox and Sollihagen nightclub offers both great live DJs and amazing performances. From internationally known European DJs to cabaret and burlesque style acts, you're bound to have a great time. There are even special events which allow for fancy dress, or circus style performances. Make sure to check out what they're offering on the night you will be attending.
The Nox and Sollihagen nightclub is open a bit earlier than many other clubs, but, like most Oslo nightclubs, does not stay open all night long. The age of entrance is 20, rather than 21 or 18, so this might present an opportunity to anyone who is around 20, as it gives them more options. There is a coat check and you might be told you have to use it if your coat or bag are bulky.
