Hive Club Malta is a premier nightlife venue situated in the vibrant Paceville district of St. Julian’s. Since its grand opening in December 2023, featuring a performance by DJ Joezi, Hive has quickly become a hotspot for electronic music enthusiasts.
The club offers a dynamic musical experience with two distinct rooms catering to different tastes. One room focuses on progressive techno and house, while the other showcases hardcore, hardstyle, and mainstream hard techno. Hive Club boasts an impressive audiovisual setup, featuring a lighting rig composed of 92 ADJ fixtures, including moving heads, static pars, LED strobes, and UV cannons. This extensive lighting system, designed by Domnic Attard of DShow Design, is complemented by atmospheric effects from smoke and haze machines, creating an immersive environment that enhances the overall clubbing experience.
The club occupies the former Axis Discotheque building, offering a spacious layout with a large central dancefloor, a stage at the front, a raised seating area on one side, a bar on the other, and a VIP mezzanine above. This design ensures ample space for dancing and socializing, contributing to a comfortable and energetic environment.
Hive operates every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the winter months, transitioning to daily operations starting summer 2024. The club hosts a variety of events, including themed nights like "Excuse My French" on Wednesdays and "Loco Rico" on Thursdays. Additionally, Hive features live showcases by renowned artists such as NAZA, TAYC, KAARIS, and SOSO MANESS, offering a diverse lineup that caters to a wide range of musical tastes.
