The Villa Lounge LA is a trendy Hollywood nightclub that was around for a while, swapped out for Vignette, and has since reopened as the Villa Lounge yet again. Although it used to have a bit of a gothic edge it has come back with a lot more of a modern, clean-cut energy about it. Holding onto some of the retro features that made it so loved, it brings in plenty of modern features as well, elevating it to a truly fantastic nightclub experience in LA.
Inside it is decked out a bit like a bordello, with red lighting that highlights the modern metallic and glass features. Upstairs you will find a dance area which overlooks the lounge and the stage, complete with dance poles. Most nights you will be able to enjoy the show from the lounge or the upstairs as go go dancers perform at the pole or in the bird cage.
Downstairs you can mingle and socialize more casually. The lounge lighting is a little more golden than the upstairs lighting, inviting relaxation. This fun, quiet LA nightclub is a secret celebrity hotspot, as it is unassuming and pleasant, and perfectly located. Stars with recognizable faces such as Leo DiCaprio, Demi Moore, Kanye West, or Javier Bardem enjoy stopping by the Villa Lounge Club for a few hours of peace and quiet. Don't be surprised if you bump into the odd celebrity, or spot a paparazzo waiting outside the door.
If you want table service then you will be treated like a star at this popular Hollywood club. Expect quality drinks and attentive staff all night long. Make sure to book in advance because table service is not always easy to get on the night.
The drinks are a bit pricey, but nothing out of the ordinary for the area, and the quality is high. Although if you want a speciality cocktail this isn't the place. Rather, stick to classics and quality bottles and you will have a great time.
If you want to dance, Dustin Hoffman's son has been known to DJ and put out some amazing beats. You will definitely enjoy the tracks and find yourself getting up and dancing most of the night. The space for dancing is not very ample, so you will want to focus on the dance area and upstairs lounge, rather than trying to dance around the furniture downstairs.
To get into this popular LA nightclub you don't always need to be on a guest list, but if you show up at the door remember that you might not get in. It gets very busy, especially when the music is good, and people who do get in at the door will have to wait quite a while and will be asked to pay a cover fee. It's much smarter to skip all the waiting and stress, and just get on the guest list and book a table. Besides that, as long as you are dressed nicely and wait, you should be able to get in.
The valet is a really good option. It can be difficult to park in the area and the Villa Lounge's valet is cheap and efficient. If you're setting off to have a great night out, the last thing you want is for your whole evening to be ruined by not finding somewhere to park.
