The glitzy Noir first opened as a nightclub on December 12, 2019 on  357 W. 16th St., but after the pandemic struck in the city, it was forced to reinvent itself as a supper club, now it is currently welcoming guests to dine in a lively, flashy setting. Before Noir opened, the old No. 8 bar and The Lately occupied the location; but now, Noir has uncorked its top and has no intent on stopping the party.

NOIR is a vibrantly gold venue with a multilevel space that is rich with layers of mirrors, ornate décor, and elaborate lighting. High ceilings open to the impressive 1920’s inspired ambiance which includes revolving chandeliers, floating lamps on mirrors, and the design sophistication of art deco. The essence of Noir is not always apparent at first glance; nuanced layers of detail are subtly revealed with each visit through their golden doors. Noir channels the City’s roots while putting a modern twist with its intricate designs, black and gold interiors, and three levels of space. The first level is The Ballroom, which features elongated ceilings with two ornate chandeliers that will draw your attention, as well as a tucked-away DJ booth where hit DJs will spin their tracks. After visiting the decadent marble-slabbed bar or ordering from the top-notch servers, patrons have various seating options that are graced with soothing red fabric and stitched with gold and black. The second level is known as The Balcony, which offers VIP seating, an instagrammable, retro phone booth, and birds-eye view of the entire Ballroom level. The third level, known as The Gallery, opens up and features a second bar with another DJ table and booth. This level is a great section of Noir to host private events and intimate conversations, all while having the option to dance the night away with your new and old friends.

Noir is famous for its signature cocktails such as Queen Vic, Bordello Fellow, and Coming Up Roses. Brunch dishes include Slow Poached Eggs, a Tokyo Sushi Bagel, and a Vegan Chorizo Bowl. For dinner, menu items range from a prime 24oz. Cowboy Ribeye, Golden Osetra Caviar to Chicken Yakitori, with a variety of other dishes to choose from their three-course and five-course tasty menus.

NOIR is an upscale and elevated experience, and the dress code is no different. The door staff strictly enforces the dress code, and entry is at their discretion. For gentlemen, no shorts, baseball hats or athletic attire, no ripped or torn clothing,  no hats, no flip-flops, t-shirts, no writing on clothing, no athletic wear, and they prefer collared shirts for men. For females, keep it classy. If you don’t want to be left out of the club, ensure to conform to their dress code.

Noir serves a unique niche, combining classic simplicity with the avant-garde of New York serving as a beautiful nightclub, but also a very sophisticated dinner and brunch spot. The detail of the venue is equally paramount to their expert staff and their commitment to individualized service.
