Café Mambo is not a club, even it found an important place on our website – it’s a bar located in San Antonio, Ibiza. Mambo became famous as the official pre-party point, where people start drinking and having fun, preparing for the rest of the night, continuing their enjoyment, going to some of many Ibiza clubs, such as Pacha Ibiza or Amnesia.
Even Café Mambo is not a club, but the bar, it hosted and still hosts some of the most famous DJs, including John Digweed, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Swedish House, Mafia, who had a weekly residency there during one summer. It was established in 1994, starting as a typical insular small abandoned house, a solitary country house, which has a fantastic view of one of the most famous sunsets in the world, so it had a perfect starting point and a good guarantee for being successful in a field of divertissement.
The owner kept a typical decoration, the traditional Ibicencan details, such as marble, mosaics and the huge, traditionally decorated terrace, from where you will see the most beautiful sunsets above the Mediterranean Sea. Therefore, the bar kept its original personality, keeping the look of traditional insular country houses, cozy and hospitable, with many Mediterranean details, such nice and cute, which take the people to the past of this beautiful island, especially those tourists who came from large and chaotic cities, bringing them a peace, harmony and desirable relaxing moments, after a long working year. Watching the sunsets above the sea is certainly better than spending time in some office, dreaming about holiday. Mambo is a juncture of the traditional style and the modern innovations, such as the most modern sound system, the art HD sound and video and free WI FI. It is a juncture of old and new…a perfect juncture that will bring you many fantastic moments. You will feel totally relaxed, hundreds of miles far away from your usual working life, and perhaps from some negative experiences. To a cozy and friendly atmosphere of the bar contributes primarily the fact that it started as a family business.
There is no corporate energy, so much present in big cities, no stress, just a likable family management. Maybe for that reason Mambo attracts so many customers. People feel that cozy and familiar atmosphere, that familiar behavior of the staff, which hasn’t been changing for over a decade. While you drink your favorite cocktails, waiting for the sunset, you can also order from the Mambo’s menu some very delicious, typical Balearic food.
Even Mambo was born from a small rural house, it hosts some of the most famous DJs and bands, such as, besides already mentioned, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Swedish House and Mafia, also Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold, Frankie Knuckles, Groove Armanda, Faithless, BodyRockers, Jamie Cullum, Brand New Heavies. It is a center of Ibiza pre-party life. In 2007, for the 2nd time, Café Mambo got the prestigious DJ Award as the best bar in Ibiza. It became internationally recognized, while San Antonio became the symbol of the music industry in Ibiza.
Café Mambo has been the base for many weekender live broadcast of different radio stations, such as the famous BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Galaxy FM, as well as many live streaming, interviews, and filming in HD. The conclusion is that Mambo is seen and has over a million views worldwide. From a small country house to the bar that became famous at the international level, becoming the meeting point of the most important celebrities, DJs and all people who want to enjoy parties at the highest - level, Mambo has a story that, should be confirmed, seems like a fairy tail.
