Les Caves was opened in far 1967 and last year it celebrated its 50 anniversary! Perhaps the most famous nightclub in France, it survived all changes, remaining still one of the most famous clubs on the French Riviera. Born in the times of turbulent and beautiful sixties, when Rock’n’roll, movie industry and all those Hollywood star - dust that “has infected” also the European continent, it had been the number one nightclub for a hedonistic experience in the French Riviera for over 40 years, and it still exists, being always more and more attractive to new generations. For decades it follows all modern music trends and sounds – from Rock’n’ roll, which was the most famous in the ‘60s, over disco and pop from the ‘80s and ‘90s, until nowadays music trends. Beautiful viola interior is a symbol of its chic. The Club is open from Friday to Saturday, from April to October. In peak season it can be difficult to get in without a table reservation. As well as the club hosted celebrities that were top of the top in the ‘60s and ‘70s, it hosts also today celebrities from whole the world. You can meet there Mick Jagger, Jack Nicholson, Sylvester Stallone, David & Victoria Beckham, Bruce Willis, Naomi Campbell...It is located in the heart of the 5 stars Hotel Byblos, one of the swankiest hotels in the world. It is glitzy, glamorous, flashbulb-popping celebrity - rich nightclub, an attraction for all celebrity and rich visitors of the French Riviera. The entrance to the club is free, if you can make it past the doorman, but since you usually have to be a millionaire, a model or royalty to do so, it might prove tough. Nestled off the main passageway of the hotel, the entrance is protected by guards larger than most army officers. Ensuring that celebrities and elite are given a private environment free of paparazzi, the guards do their best to secure the safety of Byblos royalty. Actually, that’s not completely true: you can get access if you look right and seem to belong. One time you entered inside, you will be in a completely different world – surrounded by beautiful men and women, all dressed like top models, just arrived from fashion tracks of Gucci or Cavalli, dancing at the tables, while Champagne is served like water! So exaggerated glamour and richness can confuse you if you are from the middle class, but don’t worry! If you were lucky to get in, just relax and dance! Nobody will think about your social status.
