This secret supper club brings Paris to New York, with authentic Parisian looks, traditional French cuisine, and performances designed to emulate the variety of offerings at any little back street cabaret during the WWII era.

A charming little Parisian style café and patisserie by day, by night the Doux Boutique in New York opens its 2000 square foot lounge to its club-going clients. The lounge area is nicely spaced, with plenty of comfortable booths and tables, as well as a retro-styled, fully stocked bar, serving classical and modern cocktails to suit all tastes.

At the Doux Supperclub New York you get a distinct vibe of a combined speakeasy and lounge style club. It's a wonderful take on the themed club trend, which has already brought us charming venues such as Shaka Zulu in London, or Vandal, also in New York.

The décor in this hot NY nightclub is pure class. Retro and vintage features, stunning marbled wallpaper, and nice, soft, modern lighting creates a sense of a chic, luxurious little speakeasy in the centre of Paris. The décor is intentionally distressed, to give it the feel of a prohibition-era pop-up bar. The music is upbeat, top 40s, and very loud. Some people may not like this, but if you enjoy a really pumping atmosphere, then this is a great place for you.

Unlike many other clubs with a focus on relaxation and drinking, the Doux Supperclub keeps a nice, open floor. Combined with the comfortable seating and the high ceiling, this really creates a sense of space, which is a nice break from smaller, more crowded venues, which some clubgoers may find uncomfortable. If you are looking for a more intimate environment, with quieter music, more private booths, and a cosy setting, then you might want to look elsewhere.

The prices here are high, even for New York, and the club is usually pretty busy. If you want this experience, the best option is to book a table and even order in advance, to make sure that they have a table for you, and don't run out of your favourite food or drink before you get there.

If you are looking for a wide range of retro performances and events, this is a great place to stop. Jazz performances, burlesque, brunch sessions, etc abound. Just check out what is on offer today. There is always something unique going on here. There is a decent break between each performance, giving you time to stock up on drinks again and spend a bit of time dancing and mingling before the next

One thing to bear in mind is that it will not be open to the public every single night. Some nights it holds private events, for example. Make sure to make a reservation, otherwise you might turn up only to find out they're not even open to the public.

To get into this hot alternative club you need to be dressed well to boot. The dress code is very much smart casual, but depending on the night you may prefer to dress up or down a bit.
