And if you want an experience unique to Copenhagen, with a focus on great people, great beats, and great drinks, then look no further than The Jane nightclub. There is a reason that this hot little venue is one of Copenhagen's most popular dance clubs.
Right off the bat the atmosphere is edgy and cool. A grungy, bare-bricks approach to decor, a sexy traditional bar, and a DJ booth right by the dance floor all add to the "pop up club anarchy" feel it gives off. Not to mention the graffiti and street art, and the tattooed bartenders dressed in black streetwear. Truly a rebellious vibe.
But just because it aims for a younger, edgier, slightly more "punk" or "anarchistic" look doesn't mean it's not a high end club with all the perks. The focus here is on great DJ music, great people, and great drinks, which, at the end of the day, are the main reasons to go out in the first place. The energy in this club is off the scale. The crowd are very young, leaning to late teens and early twenties, and there to party all night long.
If you are there as part of a group you will not stop dancing. And if you are there on your own, you will have made a hundred and one friends by the end of the night. Everyone is fun and happy and open. It's a truly uplifting experience.
The Jane club counts on a full bar with a range of options from full bottles to specialist cocktails and everything in between. The drinks aren't too pricey, and they are strong enough for most tastes. At the VIP tables your cups will never be empty.
Bottle service is a brilliant show. Depending on what you order, the staff will march right up to your table with a literal bucket full of drinks. Somehow both tongue in cheek and attention-grabbing. The staff are really careful to make sure your glasses stay topped up and that your table is happy, and are more than ready to get you something extra if you make your way through the bucket a bit fast, or if someone really fancies a different cocktail.
The dress code at this edgy young Copenhagen nightclub is more relaxed for women than for men. Men had best dress business casual, with collared shirts and smart jeans. Women can wear more urban looks, although it is wise to aim for something a bit more dressed up than a typical jeans and tshirt combo. Think neat and classy, but not necessarily as polished as a cocktail or evening look.
Like most European clubs, The Jane in Copenhagen stays open until the early hours of the morning. And because the crowd is young and fun, you know that the whole venue will be full of life until the staff turn the lights on and start getting ready to close up.
