If you are looking for a fun, buzzing, young nightclub near Sturegatan in Stockholm, then the Sturecompagniet club, otherwise known as the Compagniet nightclub, is the place to be. It is intimate, full of life and beautiful hard bodies, and with some great beats that will keep you going all night long.
The official age limit here is 23, but this is subject to change each day.
Sturecompagniet Nightclub in Stockholm is one of Sweden's oldest and best known nightclubs, with a combination of amazing fin de siecle decor and towering ceilings. It is a wonderful, sexy little boutique style club, with sweet and girly accents everywhere and soft, flattering lighting.
The building around the bar itself is a long and narrow, meaning the dance floor is stretched here. It is not the same sort of open plan feel that you get at a regular dance club, and to some it may feel a little bit claustrophobic, but if you like something cosy and sexy like a house party, then this is a great environment.
There is another chamber on the same floor, and then upstairs there are two distinct chambers as well. These are actually mini clubs, a fun European club phenomenon where you can find a whole new club inside your main venue. The ones in Sturecompagniet are Suite
club, a trendy, more relaxed bar and nightclub, and V
club, a much more exclusive, sophisticated venue. The upside to this is that the venue has many different atmospheres depending on the room, event, and time of night when you are there. The downside is that it is very snug and intimate, which is great for sexy young people looking to dance and mingle, but not ideal for larger groups who may want to have fun together.
The soft mood lighting at this sexy Stockholm nightclub comes from a variety of sources: the walls, the lights on the ceiling, the tea-lights on the tables, and under lighting on the floor. The end result is that each light has very little force, but collectively they illuminate the room well, providing a flattering glow that will leave everyone feeling comfortable and sexy.
As is the case with many Stockholm nightclubs, if the name is not in English, assume they are catering mostly to the locals and that the bouncers will not be required to speak English. Make sure that you have an internationally recognizable form of ID with you, and stay out of trouble to avoid having a confrontation.
As always, the age limit is higher than in many UK or USA venues, at 23. This means there will be no teenagers, but besides that the crowd is still very young and vibrant. If you are looking for a more mature venue, you may want to consider Spy Bar instead.
This is another nightclub that opens late, all the way until five, and the party only really gets started around one or two in the morning. However it opens a little earlier than many other late clubs, so if you want to stop by early for a relaxed drink, or to make sure you get in, that is possible. However the best option for getting into this refreshing yet traditional dance club is to make sure you are on the guest list or that you have a reservation, rather than trust in luck.
