Named by Culture Trip, Eater Chicago, TimeOut Chicago, and Thrillist Chicago as one of Chicago’s best and hottest rooftop bars in 2017, Joy District's top floor is a must-see space located in Chicago’s River North. It combines a heightened dining experience with private enclosures, a rooftop experience, and late night lounge. Known as an energetic restaurant and cocktail bar and late night dancing since it doubles up as a nightclub. You will find the restaurant on the ground floor separated from the nightclub, however, the ground floor dining room provides enough space for dinner parties and other special events. Here the guests can relax in lounge-styling seating while sipping on frozen cocktails and listening to top hits from local and guest DJs. The nightclub is perched on the second floor of Joy District's multi-level dining and drinking experience. The multi-tier nightclub offers two full bars, 13 tables and hypnotizing floating light fixtures. With the hottest local DJs, themed parties, and bottle service, Joy District has become a dance party hotspot and destination for local and visiting celebrities. Important visitors including Demi Lovato, Ludacris, Travis Scott, Louis The Child, DJ Flosstradamus and many others have performed in this spectacular scenario. Dark brick and wood panels act as a background to electric pops of color displayed in bold, patterned couches, bright flower and foliage-covered walls, string lighting, and murals by up and coming artist P. Scott. A hotspot for the after work crowd and the weekend warriors, Joy District's rooftop is a popular spot for private events, and happy hour parties, and is available for full buyouts. The Executive Chef Matt Wilde created a chef-driven Asian Fusion that offers inventive interpretations of authentic Asian cuisine with a menu that has been elevated with the finest ingredients and personal twists. The menu at Joy District works well for groups of any size and ensures an exciting and upbeat experience, the venue makes such an emphasis on sharing, so better come with your group. Joy District’s dramatic elegance and lively atmosphere make it the ideal location for any gathering, whether it’s a dinner with friends or a cocktail reception. The goal, simply put, is for everyone to enJOY. The venue provides a front bar that can host up to thirty people and provides a nice space for a happy hour with friends, colleagues or clients. Interactive food stations offer a great bar experience, and patrons can enjoy treats from different bars offering raw food, ice cream sundae and desserts. Joy District is open on Thursdays through Saturdays as a nightlife venue. But Saturdays are the best. At night you better wear collared shirt / jeans / dress shoes for guys. Avoid anything that can be considered sportswear (track jackets, jerseys, sneakers, hats, etc). Unless you’re a celebrity – in that case you can dress however you please. During day time however, anything goes well.
