Maddox in London 9 May 2024
MADDOX Want to be seen at one of London's most exclusive, most amazing venues? Then Maddox Club London is the place to be. Maddox Club is a private members' club which has been one of the best clubs in Mayfair since it opened its doors in 2007. It is considered one of the best clubs in the London nightlife scene, in fact, bringing a lavish atmosphere, amazing service and a fun night for everyone there. Revelry and opulence are blended in this wild environment, where you will feel transported to the middle of a celebrity home, or a movie set. The bright neon lights, the high class furnishings, the pricey yet definitely worthwhile drinks, and the beautiful people all around you bring genuine class. And when the drinks are flowing and the music is pumping, you will feel like a Roman emperor, enjoying a truly decadent night out with all that the modern world has to offer. Reserving a table is a definite must. You will enjoy an extensive list of premium spirits and champagne to keep your palate satisfied all night long. The food is absolutely fantastic as well, a rare treat among a nightclubs in London. You don't want to miss this, as the atmosphere combined with the food and cocktails is all part of a successful night out at Maddox. With a bold stage for live music, several dance floor areas, and a DJ booth, Maddox Club London has a little something for everyone. Resident DJs Aik and Klipsters will open your weekend on the main dance floor, pumping out top notch music that will accompany your dinner and the first dances of the night, easing you into the party like nothing else. As the night goes on some of the world's top DJs will take over, and the music will keep blasting all night long. Being one of the most popular celebrity clubs in London, Maddox has seen countless famous faces grace its VIP rooms. This is a venue where you could meet Beyoncé and Jay Z, Paris Hilton, Gwyneth Paltrow, or even a whole range of famous sports stars or political figures. Of course, you would need to be in the VIP area to see these celebrities up close, or perhaps meet them, but that's hardly a bad thing. The VIP tables and bottle service are absolutely amazing, and will be well worth your night even if you're the most famous person in the room. Even if you do not reserve a table for the night, remember that the Maddox Club is a strictly members only venue, so be on the guest list or you're going home. This level of exclusivity may not sit well with some people, but it is really necessary to keep the energy up and the atmosphere high quality. If you want to get into a club where celebrities have been seen for the last ten years, then you need to be a certain calibre of person. Depending on who you are, ladies can even be allowed in for free, or offered free drinks. There are different lines for invited guests, and girls can sometimes enjoy surprise perks depending on the night. Because of its reliable guest list and table booking service, Maddox is the perfect place to be keeping energy high and music great. Maddox London keeps open late into the night, unlike some younger clubs that may want to close earlier. If you are a night owl, this is a perfect place for you. You don't have to go home just as the party is getting started, rather, you can stay most of the night, among like-minded, fun-seeking people.

THE DRESS CODE AT MADDOX

Dress codes can be confusing, so let us help you with our detailed, visual guides! What is recommended: The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home. For men, this generally means anything from a tuxedo to black jeans and a button down shirt, but no less formal. For women, this generally means cocktail dresses. Make up should be natural and classy. What is allowed: The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door. For men, feel free to get creative with them -collared shirts in sharp, bright colours like white or jewel tones -sweaters -sports jackets -black polished leather (or faux leather) shoes. For women the dress code includes: -cocktail dresses -little black dresses (little blue dresses if black isn't your colour) -smart dresses -suit dresses -two piece outfits -high heeled shoes -fine jewellery. What is a grey area: The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code. Women's flats is a grey area. Generally they will not be allowed. Exceptions may be made sometimes, but you really can't count on it. Polo shirts are a grey area. Sometimes they are allowed for less formal nights, but, again you can't rely on this. It is far better to choose a white button down shirt. Black jeans are a grey area. In theory they are allowed under the current dress code, but in reality the staff might think you are underdressed. So, when in doubt, go for smart suit trousers instead. What is forbidden: These clothes will get you turned away at the door, even if you are on the guest list, have a table with bottle service reserved, and it's your birthday. Sorry. No t-shirts. Absolutely none. No casual shoes. No trainers, converses, boots, flip flops, etc. Stick to the recommended shoes above. No blue or otherwise colourful jeans or trousers. Even if black jeans are a grey area, every other type of trouser is completely out of the question. Only black trousers, preferably suit ones. No sportswear. No tracksuits, running shoes, sports jerseys, football shirts, etc. Not even fashion statement pieces. No light, loose fitting, or oversized clothes. Sagging trousers, oversized shirts, t-shirt dresses, baggy jumpers, or anything or the likes are allowed. Again, stick to the list above. No heavy coats, large bags, or hats indoors. You might need a warm winter coat, a hat, or a big practical bag for travelling round London. But make sure to take them off and check them into the cloakroom when you arrive.

THE DRESS CODE AT REIGN SHOWCLUB

Dress codes can be confusing, so let us help you with our detailed, visual guides! What is recommended: The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home. As the name suggests, Reign Showclub's mood is pure royalty. Black tie, maybe black tie optional at the most casual. That means that most men will be in tuxedos or three piece suits, and most women will be in classic red carpet gowns, or at the very least their little black dresses. Men's hair should be combed and slicked or sprayed if mid-length and tied back if long. Women's hair can be down, but make sure to use plenty of clips and hair spray to keep your look neat, or else to go for an updo instead. What is allowed: The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door. Black tie for men includes: -tuxedo -three piece suit -bow tie -straight tie (in black or other muted colours) -collared, buttoned, starched shirt (in white) -shined black shoes in leather (or faux leather) -jewellery limited to watches, wedding rings, and cufflinks Black tie for women includes: -evening gown -red carpet gown -dress suit -little black dress or little blue dress -smart heels, 2"-6" high -shiny leather (or faux leather) smart kitten heels -fine and sparkly jewellery What is a grey area: The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code. Here the general mood is insanely upscale and classy, so the main grey area is smart casual. Officially, smart casual is the minimum you should aspire for when trying to get into Reign Showclub. In reality, if most people at the venue are wearing tuxedos and three piece suits, you might not be let in wearing a two piece business suit. So don't count on the night being more relaxed, cause you could show up underdressed. Make sure to put in as much effort as you can. What is forbidden: These clothes will get you turned away at the door, even if you are on the guest list, have a table with bottle service reserved, and it's your birthday. Sorry. At Reign Showclub their banned items list is pretty long, and if they turn you away, even if you go back and change, the staff might still not let you in that night. They have a very exclusive, elegant image to maintain. So make sure to avoid all these clothes if you want to get in. No streetwear. Nothing you could consider casual in any sense. No sportswear. No active sportswear, no fashion sportswear. Especially no trainers, t-shirts, etc. No alternative fashion. Gothic, punk, decora, etc, looks are not compatible with black tie or black tie optional. A colour theme such as "black and red" or "pastels" is fine, within reason, but over the top accessories will get you turned away. No women's flats. If you cannot wear heels, choose some nice leather, slightly masculine kitten heels for a polished look. No women's suits. Suit dresses are as far as you can go. No skirt suits and definitely no pant suits. No distressed look clothes. Just no. Nothing torn, worn, faded, painted, etc. No jeans. This falls under streetwear but it is important to note that not even smart looking black jeans are acceptable. No leather. Except for shoes, steer clear of leather. No leather jackets, trousers, dresses, etc. No bright suits. Men's suits must be in black or at least very dark blue or grey. Women's suit dresses can be in black, grey, or any deep jewel tone like Prussian blue, emerald, or burgundy. No men's jewellery. Watches, cufflinks, and wedding rings aside, assume no men's jewellery is allowed. Not even piercings. No bulky coats or bags indoors. Take them off before entering the venue and check them into the cloakroom. No hats indoors. Again, check them in at the cloakroom.

WELCOME TO LONDON

Nightlife in London is a wild collection of experiences, reflecting Britain's imperial past, but with a more modern, wholesome, fun twist. Having cultural influences from across the world, London embraces the fast pace extravagance of Hollywood nightlife, the beauty and charms of classic Europe, and food, sights, and sounds from across Asia and Africa.

Add to that the fact that London is a wealthy, powerful city, and you know you are getting the latest and greatest in club technology. Expect sound systems which will have you feeling the beats in your bones, state of the art lighting, and huge features, from indoor fountains to wall displays, modern art to moving platforms, and everything your heart could possibly desire.

Celebrity-spotting in the London club scene is next to none. This city is a magnet for celebrity holidays and, with the cool and temperamental weather, there is no better place to rub shoulders with the rich and famous than in one of London's warm, cosy, themed nightclubs. After a day of shopping or having lunch with famous friends, many visiting celebrities love to stop by the clubs at the end of the day to hang out in the VIP and have a few nice drinks. What better way to end the day, after all?

And yes, speaking of the themes, they can get a little wild. London clublife takes the idea of a "concept club" to the next level, creating true adult playgrounds for all to enjoy. Full scale murals and sculptures, themed furniture and lighting, and even special artists and acts to fully immerse you in the idea of being in a whole new world.

Because many London clubs are so strongly themed, dress codes can be a little more fun than in more traditional clubs. There is a bit more flexibility where at hip hop clubs you can wear (extremely stylish and neat) streetwear, or at animal or jungle themed clubs you can enjoy seeing guests or hostesses in animal print minidresses. Not to mention themed events featuring neon, urban camo, retro looks, and all sorts of wild and sexy costume ideas. Who said dressup is just for kids?

Another major benefit of clubbing in London is that the legal drinking age is eighteen. Which means that the minimum age to get into clubs is, you guessed it, eighteen. Although in some parts of the world you have to wait until three years into adulthood before you taste your first legal drink, in the UK if you are old enough to drive a car, get a credit card, and go to uni/college, you are old enough to have a drink and a good time.
