Located inside the W Hotel, the Eclipse nightclub and bar offers a perfect medley of a low key, classy experience, merged with the fun, high-energy vibe of any popular nightclub.
The drinks here are typical nightclub prices, but they have a full bar and a wide selection of cocktails, as well as a couple of different bottle service options to suit different tastes and parties.
They offer a few tasty light bites, tapas servings, and smoothies (with or without a few shots of your favourite liquor), all of which are fairly reasonably priced and tasty. The sushi is fresh and a great option. However they do not serve actual meals, so you might want to stop by the hotel itself if you want dinner before you go out to party, or to have something to eat on your way home in the early hours of the morning.
Most of the seating is pretty comfortable, but some may find the benches by the windows to be a little too low. Especially if you are a taller person, specify when you book a table that you want some of the plush seats further inside the venue.
This venue gets absolutely packed, so if you are a true party animal who loves being in a busy venue, surrounded by beautiful people, this club is a dream come true. Because of how busy it gets, bottle service is a must. Even if your preference is for simple spirits and mixers, the staff are busy, busy, busy all night long, and bottle service guarantees you the attentiveness that a VIP deserves.
The Eclipse nightclub in true European style stays open pretty late, and the party is at its best in the early hours of the morning. But it's basically impossible to get in once the party is truly underway. Much better to make sure that you're on the guest list or have a reservation, if you don't want to wait around for the club to get truly pumping.
Because of the location and the limited space they can be highly selective about who gets in. They don't want the sort of bad behaviour that may offend their more refined clients, or the guests in and around the W Hotel. They have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to disturbing staff or bothering other guests, and anyone found so much as pushing the limits will be escorted out. So long as you know this isn't a wild, all-out rave-style party, there should be no problem at all.
The dress code is another hurdle. Because of how high-end the clientele at the Eclipse club and the W Hotel are, not to mention the classiness of the local residents and tourists, they do not want their guests to be looking anything short of stunning and glamorous.
But it's definitely worthwhile! The crowd you get at this club is something else, full of beautiful, well-dressed, high-class people having a wonderful time. If you're looking for a perfect place to relax in Barcelona, this is it.
