CHARLIE MAYFAIR

Charlie Berkeley Club was opened in October 2015 in the heart of Mayfair, making it one of the hottest clubs in central London. If the venue looks familiar it is because it used to be inhabited by the Funky Buddha, not now it is the location of Charlie Club, a London nightclub known for its elegance and sophistication.

The concept behind Charlie Berkeley Street is simple, inspired by the iconic film star and comic Charlie Chaplin, and the era of silent films. It oozes pure class, with warm wooden furnishings, rich leather, and genuine vintage items, enhanced by the latest retro décor and fittings. If you want to feel like a film star, there really is no other club in London worth hitting. The 1920s vibe will have you relaxed and confident, and the music will keep you energized.

The VIP treatment that you rill get at Charlie Club London is unparalleled. You will be treated like the star you are, and you will be able to enjoy all the services which Charlie London has to offer without fearing that things may get out of hand. You will remember your night out for all the right reasons.

You need to get on the guest list. This is a very in demand club, frequented by celebrities such as: Amber le Bon, Jack Savoretti and Jemma Powell, Dan Kapp, Leah Weller, and Sarah-Jane Mee. If you want to be rubbing elbows with a wide range of celebrities, socialites, and wealthy Londoners, then this is an amazing choice.

The Charlie Berkeley nightclub is the world’s first resident Haig Club Room and the only place in London dedicated to this brand of Single Grain Scotch Whisky. If you want to enjoy some amazing drinks, then this is where you need to be. With Charlie’s classic interiors and flapper-era décor, you will be expected to dress fun and relaxed, but still refined, groomed, and expensive. Do not be afraid to deck yourself out like a real diva; it is the very least you can do. Charlie nightclub London offers a luxurious and exclusive night-time escape, attracting the most selective and exclusive clubbers around Berkeley Street and beyond.

The Charlie Berkeley club dress code is pretty strict, but that doesn't mean it's hard to follow. This London nightclub's dress code for men is collared button down shirts, smart two and three piece suits, with black or brown polished shoes. The Charlie dress code for women is a bit more open, but you can never go wrong with a classic little black dress and some nice, trendy heels. Alternatively, something brighter and shinier, like a colourful cocktail dress and red bottomed shoes, would work as well.

And don't forget: ladies enter free before midnight.

There is an air of mystery and sophistication every night at this sexy London club, with a full, traditional bar, a luxurious lounge area, and some of the most beautiful, important people in London. Whether the resident DJ is playing, they have a guest artist, or an event is taking place, you know the entertainment will be top notch.

But if you want to really be in on the secrets of this little club, well, then you need to be on the guest list! And if you need plenty of tables or the whole venue for your special event, reserve in advance to book your party or business launch. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and will help everything run smoothly.

THE DRESS CODE AT CHARLIE MAYFAIR

Dress codes can be confusing, so let us help you with our detailed, visual guides!

What is recommended:
The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home.

Generally people at the Charlie Mayfair will be wearing smart casual clothes. It can be easy to make the mistake of thinking that because the club has a sexy or burlesque theme, you should be wearing as little as possible. In fact, the opposite is advised. Not only are people at the Charlie Mayfair aiming for a more smart casual look, but you don't want to be confused for a member of staff.

Men here generally wear white button down shirts or polos in muted colours (black, dark blue, browns, greys, cream, white), suit trousers, or blue jeans. Shoes must be polished black or brown leather (or faux leather). Jackets aren't always worn but suit jackets aren't rare.

Women here generally wear little black dresses and cocktail dresses in traditional colours (red, white/cream, and blue). Although women can technically wear suits, this is uncommon here. Hair up and down are both common. Jewellery ranges from delicate to statement pieces, so you have plenty of options there. Make up is glamorous.

What is allowed:
The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door.

Smart casual for men includes:
-blue jeans

-suit trousers

-khakis

-button-down shirts

-polos

-smart jackets

-polished leather (or faux leather) brown or black shoes

-two piece suits

Smart casual for women includes:
-cocktail dresses

-smart jackets

-blue jeans

-blouses

-suit style dresses

-delicate heels ranging 1-4" high

-ballet flats

What is a grey area:
The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code.

Caps, bandanas, and other everyday headwear are generally not allowed. If it is part of a specific look for an event, or if you have a reason to cover your head (faith, hair loss, etc), then you might be admitted, at the discretion of staff.

What is forbidden:
These clothes will get you turned away at the door, even if you are on the guest list, have a table with bottle service reserved, and it's your birthday. Sorry.

No trainers. Absolutely no trainers, not even converses or fashion trainers. Not even if they're black.

No sportswear. Nothing that could be considered sportswear, even if it is a fashion/statement piece.

No timberland/hiking boots. They are very strict about this. Smart shoes only.
