Bikini in Barcelona 18 Apr 2024
If you thought amazing, luxurious, relaxing dayclubs were just a feature of the Las Vegas landscape, then Barcelona is about to wow you. The Bikini Club in Barcelona has a capacity of 800 people, and although the focus is more on the night club side, it is a perfect example of how the dayclub party lifestyle is infecting all of Barcelona with its fun, luxurious take on a Summer holiday. Bikini operates standard nightclub hours as well as dayclub hours, with a stronger focus on its nightclub side, which features regular concerts, special events, and themed days. During daytime hours the focus is all on customer service, making sure you can enjoy the luxury of the club and just chill out. The venue is spread out over two rooms, but they are only divided via a partition wall, so sometimes they will join the rooms to really open up the dance floor, especially when they have a big event going on. Even with the rooms separated, there is plenty of space to dance and mingle with the other guests, which is perfect, as the music is usually very danceable. When the rooms are split you can expect techno and EDM most of the time in one, and a dedicated salsa room in the other. Although the venue is fairly large, the setting is quite intimate, especially on special event and concert days. The music varies from R&B and hip hop to house and electronica, depending on the night. They also have regular Reggaetón, trap, and Latinx music nights. The DJs are local talent, and they also open the stage for local indie artists from time to time as well. Their concerts are exclusively held during nightlife hours, and the sound system is to die for. State of the art, and always perfectly calibrated for whatever music they are playing for the night. The drinks here are pretty standard fare. A full bar, a few big name bottles, enough to meet most taste requirements, but not many speciality cocktails or small batch drinks. If you like knowing what you're getting and have a go-to drink, this would work really well for you, though. The venue is pretty upscale and, day or night, maintains a strict dress code and entry policy. You need to be dressed to impress, with women in cocktail dresses or classy Summer dresses and heels, and men in business casual or smart casual. Coats are obviously not required, but no matter how warm it gets they don't exactly take kindly to people showing up in beach clothes, streetwear, or sportswear. There is usually a modest entry fee, which they waive from time to time for women, but I wouldn't count on it. If you've got a table reserved or you're on the guestlist you're unlikely to have to pay an entry fee, and you can often skip the queue and get in even when the club is pretty busy and not letting many more people in. Without being on the guestlist or having a reservation it can be hard to get in.

CDLC Carpe Diem Lounge Club Rating: 4.15 out of 5 based on 13 Reviews

CDLC Carpe Diem Lounge Club in Barcelona 18 Apr 2024
The Carpe Diem Lounge Club is one of the best dayclub and nightclub experiences in Barcelona. Located right on the waterfront, it is the self proclaimed finest club in Spain, boasting a fanbase that will vouch for it any day of the week. The key to the Carpe Diem Club's success is pampering. Basically anything you need to feel like a VIP, they have. Great beats, great drinks, great service, great food, great massages, great everything. You will be able to relax in true style. The venue itself is decorated with a Moroccan feel to it, embracing that medley of Mediterranean, African, and Arabian culture that makes Morocco so unique. Truly delightful to behold. And the seating is plush and comfortable, with great views of the beachfront outside, and of the dance floor inside. For the sights and experience, especially earlier in the night, the outside seating area is the best option. Great views, the sounds and scents of the sea, and a cool breeze. As the night moves on it can get a bit chilly outside, though. Inside the venue is very cosy and much warmer. There are also heaters outside, if you prefer the outdoor atmosphere as the night progresses. Service is some of the best of any Barcelona club. Where else can you get bottle service, some great fusion cuisine, and a shoulder massage at once? Bliss. The menu offers both food and drinks at reasonable prices. The cuisine is truly international, with a little bit of everything from around the world, but mostly embracing Asian, Mediterranean, and Arabian dishes. The Arabian cuisine is very good, and inkeeping with the theme of the club itself. Bear in mind that after dinner service the whole venue gives way to the nightclub part of the night, and only light bites and drinks are served from then onwards. The relaxed lounge atmosphere remains, but the music gets pumped up, to encourage you to drink and dance. The full bar offers a wide range of different big name bottles, as well as bottle service options, which you can also reserve in advance. Their cocktails are classic and refreshing, and the Spanish wine selection is pretty good, although we're more inclined to recommend the high end champagne for a truly glamorous experience. The prices at the CDLC nightclub are variable, but generally reasonable for the quality you are getting. Expect to pay extra for massages, coat check, etc. All in all, most customers feel that the prices were great for the quality they received. The venue gets pretty busy and, naturally, the dress code is different for the club than for the restaurant. Just because you had lunch at the Carpe Diem Lounge Club restaurant does not mean you will get into the Carpe Diem Lounge Club nightclub dressed the same way. What is more, because of how insanely busy it can get, you aren't really guaranteed a place in the club unless you are on the guest list or have a reservation.

Opium in Barcelona 18 Apr 2024
The Opium club in Barcelona caters very strongly to tourists and is one of the most visible nightclubs in Barcelona, with an open stone facade and a bold sign outside. You literally cannot miss it. Many people get interested in it after seeing it from the beach during the day. The outside includes some outdoors seating which is especially good in the Summer, but a bit too cold in the Winter. It is on an elevated deck, so you can look out over the beach front without worrying much about sand or passers-by. It still retains an air of intimacy even though you are out under the stars. The outdoors seats are very comfortable, with large white couches and stools, and plenty of cushions. If the weather is warm you will love it out here. Indoors the lighting is beautiful, with ornate glowing LED patterns in the ceiling and some night spotlights. It might be a bit bright for some people, but it is generally quite a pleasant lighting and still very flattering for selfies and dancing. The seating indoors may seem a bit random, with curved couches wrapping into each other a bit like a Paisley print, but it's actually very well designed for people who want to mingle and have fun with the other club-goers. The stage is very visible from everywhere in the club and you will be able to enjoy the music and show wherever you are seated nor dancing. They play very loud, international music, with a bit of an American leaning. This Barcelona nightclub has a bit of a Las Vegas feel to it. The drinks are pretty standard for a Barcelona club, but pretty good nonetheless. The price for drinks and hookah runs quite high, and you are paying more for the experience and the venue than for the drinks themselves, which aren't amazing, even if they are good. It can get insanely crowded with a very international community as the night goes on. As it attracts mostly tourists you will find it easy to talk to people in English. Thanks to how many people are drawn to it during the day, it tends to be buzzing with life as the night goes on. It also opens late, as most Barcelona nightclubs do, with the biggest energy building in the early hours of the morning. And it stays open literally all night long, so if you have the energy you can have a great night out clubbing and just wait for early in the morning to have a coffee and set off around the city again. The venue is in very high demand and you may not be able to get in much after one or two in the morning. It is recommended to sign up on the guest list so that you can get in early and sometimes receive free entry. Otherwise there is a pretty standard door fee for men, and a fee sometimes waived for women. Opium is opening a sister club in London

Otto Zutz in Barcelona 18 Apr 2024

Club Otto Zutz is founded in far 1985 and exists more than 30 years, following always new trends and innovations! When it was opened, it represented some kind of revolutionary concept, of something new, never seen before in Barcelona nightlife. It was built in a place of an old textile factory, in Lincoln Street, therefore, the factory has been converted into a club, what is something that wasn’t so usual in Spain in the ‘80s. Open spaces decorated with hard materials, concrete, cast iron pillars, iron beams, and ceilings vaulted denim, has made an atmosphere of industrial environment of Berlin or New York. This type of clubs, built inside of old factories or industrial halls, had already started to be all the more present in European metropolis in the ‘80s, so the idea to create similar industrial environment also in Barcelona was a real shot! Among many luxuries and elegant clubs of Barcelona, when you can meet celebrities and where the door policy and the prices are very high, the club such is Otto Zutz, more modest and simple, more devoted to people who prefer simple evenings, simple dress code and less glamour – so-called hipsters, was real refreshment in Barcelona nightlife. Not everyone wants to pay 500$ for one bottle, being surrounded by elegant people and security that has a strong entrance policy. For a long time Otto Zutz Club is a symbol of Barcelona underground scene and of its social working class, so similar to working class in other European big cities, such as Berlin, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Manchester, Hamburg, etc. The truth is that the Latino way of fun is a bit different of other European cultures – Latino means – beauty, fashion, nice music, good food and that is why this type of clubs started later in countries such as Italy and Spain, but there is always a class of hipsters and artists who prefer to have their own space for changing ideas and spending nights. Large old abandoned spaces became, therefore, ideal spaces for making clubs in all Europe for the people who make part of this social class. Even that the idea at the beginning was to avoid glamour and exaggeration of the high – class, the Club started to be visited in several years also by many famous visitors, especially from 1992, when the Olympic Games took place in Barcelona, and when the owners decided to convert the third floor in open roof, perfect for those who want to pass hours overlooking the city. The third floor became privé, called “Los altos” (The high), so the celebrity, high class and international visitors started visiting also this club. Besides this, the club strives to keep its first concept - the spaces which are not glamorous and elegant, keeping more industrial and urban concept and décor. The Club is divided into 4 rooms: Main Room, Commercial Room, Hot Room, Los Altos. Main Room is the most visited, where the guests can enjoy the best residential and international DJs and Hip-hop and R&B hits. Commercial Room is a smaller space, where you can enjoy the hits from ‘80s and ‘90s, and good pop and rock music. There is also a cocktail bar and “Chupiteria” where you can drink excellent shots. Hot Room is a space colored by blue lights, the most “rowdy” room, where you will enjoy Dance and Pachanga hits. Comparing with another 3 rooms, Los Altos Room is a unique elegant and most exclusive room/lounge, with a different private access, own toilet and cloakroom. An average age is higher-over 25 years. The music is blended – from ‘80s and ‘90s hits until modern commercial sound. Along the wall you will find a premium bar, so, relax and taste the best cocktails! All the rooms can be used for private parties – birthday, business, wedding and other type of parties, or business and other dinners, so there is a possibility to order the best dishes from the Club’s menu (only over 25 people). There are different menu options, so all tastes will be satisfied!

Pacha in Barcelona 18 Apr 2024
Pacha nightclub in Barcelona brings the Ibiza beachside phenomenon to this international historic city, creating a unique and unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is as fresh and relaxed as the Ibiza one, with beautiful sleek white furniture, natural wood finishes, and gently glowing neon style lighting. That said, the VIP lounge is a bit on the small side compared to other clubs in the area, making it perfect for an intimate night out, but a bit cramped for a very large party. If there's more than four or five of you, you probably want to book one table for every four people. Especially if you like to make new friends and treat them to drinks when you hit the club. The staff and the guests alike are young and beautiful, and the dress code means that everyone looks spectacular. If you are into people watching, the combination of the great dance tunes and the excellent standards mean you will really enjoy the view. The music at the venue is a mix and match of great party tunes, with different themes on different nights. Earlier on in the night the music is quieter, giving you time to mingle, chat, get your drinks, and warm up for the night ahead. As the night progresses the music gets louder, with stronger party beats and a bigger focus on danceable tunes. The best time to hit the dance floor is between one and two in the morning. Due to recent changes in the law they are no longer allowed to play music outdoors, however the music inside is loud enough to be enjoyed on the patio if you would rather dine or party out under the stars. The drinks are fairly reasonably priced for such a high-class venue, and if you are looking for a full bar in Barcelona and the usual Pacha bottleservice experience, you will not be disappointed. You can also order hookah, which is a bit more expensive than at dayclubs and bars nearby, but considering the quality of the venue it's well worthwhile. A selection of food is also available, with Asian and Mediterranean options available. Although the wines are pretty good, the highlight are the cocktails by far, with a number of speciality and signature offerings that will delight you. All the seafood is fresh and local, and the dishes are reasonably priced for the great quality you are getting. To get in, you need to be on the guestlist and ideally have a table reserved and/or arrive early. The venue gets absolutely packed as the night progresses and there is not much chance of getting in at the door, even on their more low key and relaxed nights. The minimum age for entry, like in most European venues, is 18. Also like most of the best European nightclubs, the venue opens until the early hours of the morning. So if you want to party all night long, then this is a great spot to spend the night at.

Shoko in Barcelona 18 Apr 2024

Another club following the increasingly popular trend of operating as a restaurant by day and a true nightclub by night, Shoko in Barcelona offers a perfect balance of great food, great music, great shows, and great cocktails. Located on the seafront, it's a perfect place to stop after a long, leisurely day exploring the city and beaches, with a beautiful atmosphere inside and out. If you stop by early you can have a nice, fresh dinner at the restaurant, consisting of local, Asian fusion, and international cuisine, at a fairly reasonable price, accompanied by a wine from their wide selection of bottles, all of them delicious. The local dishes are the most recommended, as they are divine.

The club is a completely separate part of the building, and the crowd in the club is young and beautiful and full of energy. Once you walk through the door it's like you're in a whole new world. The drinks inside the club can get a bit expensive, but nothing to write home about. Besides that, with a promoter you can usually get a deal on your first drinks, whether it's a free glass or a discount, which is pretty cool. The music focuses on R&B, house, and danceable pop and hip hop. A good mix of current and throwback tracks. Don't expect anything too slow or without rhythm. You'll have a hard time staying still, so make sure to take some time to catch your breath and have a few drinks, because before you know it you'll have been on your feet for hours. Fortunately the dance floor is nice and wide open, with plenty of space to dance alongside the most beautiful crowd in Barcelona. This is seriously one of the most fun, sexiest clubs in the city, and the shows, a fusion of Asian theatre, cabaret, and local dance, will completely wow you. You will not be disappointed at this incredibly club. Because of how busy it can get, you really need to make sure you're on the guest list and arrive early. If you don't think you can arrive for dinner or just after, then make sure to book a table, because most nights it is impossible to get one last-minute.

After about one a.m. it can get packed, and you may want to have a break, order some more drinks, and people watch for a while when it gets this busy. Much more relaxed that way. Depending on what show they have on and how busy they are when you arrive, they might charge you a cover fee, which is not usually much over thirty euro, or they might waive it. This is regardless of if you are on the guest list or have a reservation. Being in the restaurant does not guarantee you a place in the club.

Make sure to visit Shoko in Madrid as well, it is similar to the famous Shoko in Barcelona but it has it's own twist.

Sutton in Barcelona 18 Apr 2024
The Sutton nightclub in Barcelona is another club that focuses strongly on the tourist scene. You can expect to see people of various nationalities and a wide range of ages and backgrounds at this vibrant Barcelona nightclub. It is considered by many to be one of the best clubs in Barcelona, and for good reason. It has a somewhat romantic feel inside, with soft lighting, a curtain of hanging LED lights across the ceiling, and a generally smooth appearance. The VIP area is out in the open, and it is completely recommended to invest in booking a VIP table, as the treatment is so much more luxurious and the drinks are much faster with VIP bottle service than any other way. The long leather booths are very comfortable, but very open. You will feel encouraged to be rather social and mingle. It's a great environment for single people and small groups, as you get to meet many people and talk and dance the night away. There is a lot of advertising for their alcohol range in the club. More than you might expect in any more American venue. Some may feel that it adds to the atmosphere, but others may find this a little tacky and want to stay away. The drinks themselves are all high quality, big name brands, and hand-mixed cocktails. There is a good range, but nothing out of this world, and they are rather expensive. The DJ booth is rather self-enclosed. Which makes sense because it is an insanely elaborate set up with some of the best sound systems of any Barcelona club, but it also means you cannot see the DJs very easily. The music is very much top 40 and rock, with a lot of remixes, and not really much variety besides that. It is a quite normal club experience, but it might be nice for people who miss the clubs back home. This is one of the finest exclusive nightclubs in the World, with a strong international following. It tends to cater to an older clientele, from 25 up to 40, rather than the younger, more energetic scene. The atmosphere is still fun and sexy, but not quite as cheap or buzzing as you get in a much younger club. There is some variability for specific events and parties, and there is a much younger clientele at the weekend, but besides that it is mostly 25-40. Besides the usual clientele, you can expect to see a few famous faces in what is considered by many to be Barcelona's best celebrity nightclub. Fashion designers, politicians, athletes, etc, have all been spotted within its walls at some point or another. Besides that, the clientele is high class all round. It is a no-smoking environment and you need to be dressed smartly to be allowed in. Ideally button down shirts and smart shoes for men and evening wear for women. If you wear any sportswear, smoke, or are rude to staff you will be shown out.

WELCOME TO BARCELONA

Nightlife in Barcelona is one of the most intense experiences you will have anywhere in Europe. All night long, whatever sort of music, dance, and drinks your heart desires. Barcelona is one of the few places in the world where you can experience an authentic cultural medley in any club of your choosing.

Barcelona embraces its international culture and has done so for generations. You can experience Argentinian Tango dayclubs complete with lessons, carnival themed clubs and events, German and American style nightclubs, and more. Nothing is impossible in this beautiful international city.

Barcelona nightclubs are the origin of many excellent new nightclub trends and chains of nightclubs, such as Opium Barcelona which, although not the very first Opium, was the inspiration for the current look at the Opium Madrid and Opium London clubs' looks.

It shouldn't be surprising that Barcelona is a trendsetter though. With so many different cultures, and such an active art and fashion scene, Barcelona brings the best from nightlife around the world and wraps it all neatly together, providing an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.

Barcelona clubs stay open pretty long, even by European standards. You'd be hard-pressed to find a venue that closes before three in the morning. If you find yourself getting tired, you can always retire to one of Barcelona's many lounges, have a cup of coffee or a cocktail with plenty of caffeine, and recharge for the rest of the night. Most clubs have comfortable seating if you make sure to book a table, though.

Barcelona also boasts dayclubs. By day, on the beach, you can lounge in sunbeds, hang out under gazebos, or hit a club's pool party, to make the most of the sunshine and flowing alcohol. Much like Las Vegas or Los Angeles, in Barcelona you really need to decide on a time to go home and commit to it, because if you're not careful you can wind up so excited about partying all day and all night til you're so tired you can barely remember where your hotel is.

Finally, don't forget that Barcelona is host to a range of boat parties, where clubs and other venues sometimes hire a boat or another floating venue for their beach parties for a night, weekend, or longer. There are also boat party cruises that actually set off and give you an experience full of drinks, sun, and party fun, all afternoon, evening, and night.
